The Music Lab is a hard disk recording facility with a commitment to keeping up to date with the latest software and hardware and integrating our musical expertise to make your audio project the best it can be at a competitive price.
Our tracking system in Studio A consists of a MOTU/Digital Performer format. Our front
end consists of the Apogee Rosetta 800 A/D converters. Our mic pres include Avalon 737, Millenia-Media, TL Audio, Art, Joe Meek, Presonus and Mindprint. The Music Lab uses the following mics: Neumann TL103, Audio Technica 4050, Neumann KLM 84's, Shure SM 58s, Shure SM 57s, Equitek 200, and AKG c12 to name a few.
We have a full line of guitars including a Guild D35, American standard Strat, a Gibson ES335, an incredible sounding Taylor, and a Fender Precision Bass. And to round it out, there's a Pearl Birch Session drum kit.

In Mixdown, The Music Lab uses a Yamaha 02R along with the automated mixdown options in Digital Performer. If you happen to be a Pro Tools fan, we have Digi Translator, which will turn any session into a full blown Pro Tools session complete with Digi Design's proprietary software, which allows us to mix in Pro Tools as well as DP. Outboard hardware includes Lexicon and TC electronic reverbs. In the software department we have Antares, Waves, and IK Media plugins. The 02R also has digital effects, 4-band parametric EQ, and dynamics on all 40 outputs.
Our Studio B is more focused on the post production/mastering stage of your project,
where we use the DBX Quantum and T-Racks software for any tweaking of your mix.
